To be held Sunday, November 23, 2014
at Bangor Housing Authority, 161 Davis Road, Bangor, ME 04401 (map)
Based on the enthusiasm of our youth fighters lately, there will be a weapon making workshop this Sunday, November 23, 2014, after the kids are done with youth fighting practice. Here is a link to one of the how-to articles that we’ll be following.
Thomas has picked up some materials, and Finan will do the same, but if there is anything special that you’d like for your fighter, (colored duck tape, etc) please be sure to pick it up before practice.
Youth Fighter practice starts at 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 23rd. The workshop will be held at the Bangor Housing Authority at 161 Davis Road in Bangor, Maine. All combat practices held at this location (rapier combat & heavy list) end at 7:00 pm.
The Unity College Medieval Reenactment Club will not be holding combat practices for heavy list or rapier combat for the rest of November 2014. Practices usually run at the Unity College gymnasium during the academic year on Sundays from 1:00-3:00 pm.
The next practice will be on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Unity College Gymnasium from 1:00-3:00 pm. Members of the Canton of Wyndriche and its surrounding SCA neighbors attend to support and instruct Unity students in the practice of safe combat activities.

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Fort Knox Historic State Park
Once again the Barony of Endewearde offers the chance to fight and fence within a granite fort – more atmospheric than a school gymnasium. Jehan’s Fighting and Fencing at the Fort will feature youth combat, youth rapier, adult rapier and armored combat tournaments, with some melees afterwards for the adults (think stair pit).
For those not martially inclined, there will be a tavern run by Lord Neville Sudlow with a warm fire, good company and a chance to purchase hot food and beverages from the canton of Basingestoches. You are also welcome to bring your own food, as there will be no day board. Please bring your feast gear and a chair for the day (you will want a chair for baronial court). Even if the weather gods do not smile on us, we will still be able to hold our activities, so don’t let the weather stop you from enjoying this event with us!
Site Fee: Because we are not providing a dayboard, our fees are reduced: $5 for adult members (adult non-members must pay $10), $2 for children and youth 5-17, no charge for those under 5. No reservations required or accepted.
Make Checks Payable to: SCA-Maine, Inc. Endewearde
