If you usually borrow heavy list gear for practice please do not feel dissuaded from attending practice as out of armor drills can still happen! If enough people show up for heavy list there will be an impromptu infantry practice.

Please note that Sunday July 2nd is the last Endewearde heavy list practice for the rest of July and the first half of August. Adult Rapier Combat WILL continue to run this summer at this location unless a cancellation is announced here or on the Endewearde facebook discussion group.

Baronial Archery Practice Schedule Change: now on Sunday, October 18, 2015

illum archer half

Due to the fickleness of Mother Nature, the Barony of Endewearde will be holding the last official archery practice of the year on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the site of the Endewearde Hunt in Newburgh, Maine. The original plans were to have this practice on Saturday, October 17th, but weather conditions are not favorable. There will be the opportunity to shoot royal rounds and get in one last woods walk shoot.

If you are unfamiliar with the location of the annual Endewearde Hunt  event, which is held at a private residence (2910 Western Avenue, Newburgh, ME 04444) here are the driving directions:

  • Take your best route to I-95, Exit 174.
  • Head toward Newburgh (from the south, turn right at the exit; from the north, turn left at the exit).
  • You’ll go about 1.2 miles on Rt 69, then turn right onto Rt 202/9, heading west.
  • Drive just over 4 miles, and the site will be on your right.
  • You’re looking for a large white building named “Hospital Chaplaincy.” Turn there and follow the drive out into the woods behind the buildings.

Please note that running water is not available on site. Portapotties will be available though.

Archers shall shake their fists in defiance at the weather gods. It is left to your discretion whether or not you are willing to get wet. Remember that the archery field probably is very very damp too. Also the archery captain is involved in a project in the garage, so he is hoping that a few marshals will show up to help run the practice for him.

Two new outdoor practices start mid May in Endewearde
