The Baron gave words of welcome.

Griffith (Gruffydd) Abernethy was called in to give the results of the tournament.

Agatha Wanderer was called in and announced that she had raised over $100 by selling her meat pies and farts of Endewearde towards making a silk banner for the barony.

Misha of Endewearde was called into court and given a scroll, (by Techan MacGothraidh) and a baldric and rattan sword (made by Cormac Longstrider) to carry for the next year.

The horn (made by Thora the Mad) for amassing the most loot went to the Baron, who had over 600 tokens. He also received a scroll (I: Audrye Beneyt and Techan MacGothraidh, W and C: Techan MacGothraidh)

Sir Oskar of the Wood was called forth to receive a scroll (I: Audrye Beneyt, W&C: Techan MacGothraidh) for winning the tournament (Misha had actually won, but he was already the champion). He also received an ax, which he presented to Albrecht.

The event steward, Gwillim Kynith was called in and thanked all his staff and received the thanks of the Baron and Baroness and passed on the event steward baldric to Audrye Beneyt, who will be running the next event.

The Baroness thanked everyone for coming and explained the cheers of vivat and vivant for new people.

The Baron welcomed everyone to the event and praised the event steward for a job well done.

The event steward, Alesone Gray, thanked all her staff and called forth the people in charge of the various competitions to announce the winners.

Syr Cedric announced that Bison of Thunder was the winner of the armored combat tourney. He received a stick of rattan.

Thomas de Marr announced the winners of the youth combat tourney: Cody of Endewearde for Division 1, Richard de Marr for Division 2 and Jamie for Division 3. They each received a handwoven belt in Endewearde colors made by Halldis Ulfsdottir. They also received tokens for their participation. Earlier in the day, Kathryn van Catwiic and Richard de Marr had been awarded prizes for their efforts at Tourney of Love: youth weapons made by Thomas de Marr.

Halldis Ulfsdottir announced the winners of the A&S competition:

  • Fiber arts: Olall for her pattern darning. She received a sewing kit she herself hade made for the prize.
  • Metal/leather/woodworking: Hrafn is Augu. He received a first aid kit.
  • Miscellaneous: Isabella Altoviti for her harp playing. She received a cordial made by Richard de Marr.

Trian announced the winners of the rapier tourneys:

  • Christian Wolfe of Edinburgh for Cut and Thrust. He received the buckler made by Syr Cedric which he may carry until the next Jehan’s
  • Lucian de Wyntere for the schlager tourney. He received a cloak to carry until the next Jehan’s.
  • Radbod of Endewearde announced that Jordan Harvey was the new baronial rapier champion and presented him with the baldric and sword of the rapier champion. Radbod was thanked for his year of service.

Cody of Endewearde was presented with the Order of the Portcullis of Endewearde.

Magnus Morty, Seneschal; of Ravensbridge, was called into court where he presented an eloquent plea for Endewearde to ally with Malagentia in the upcoming Great Northeastern war. He also announced a largesse contest between Ravensbridge and Giggleswick to benefit the toy chest, favors for the Queen or gifts for the crown to give.

The Baron announced that Endewearde would side with Malagentia at Great Northeastern War and remarked that it amused him that Malagentians had to come to Endewearde to pick fights with each other. Everyone was thanked for coming and asked to help clean up the site.

The Baroness welcomed everyone to court and reminded them about the difference between SCA time and Baroness Sylvia time. She requested that everyone take their comfort in the center of the hall.

Lord Seamus na Coile Aosda was invited into court to speak for the Foresters Guild. He named the Foresters and individuals presented gifts to the Baron and Baroness as part of their tribute as Foresters.

Hrafn is Augu was summoned to speak for the North Tower Infantry company. He announced that one of their number had led the defense of the castle at Pennsic and called Albrecht forward to be promoted to Sergeant of the Lance. He also called Griffydd Abernathy forward and in light of his service and prowess, also promoted him to Sergeant of the Lance.

Haldis Ulfsdottir was called in to announce the winners of the various tourneys and competitions. She thanked all her staff and said that the youth tourney winner would be announced at Jehan’s. She called forth Radbod of Endewearde, who called Trian O’Bruadair forward to receive his reward of chocolate for winning the rapier tourney. Mistress Agatha Wanderer announced the winner of the A&S competition – her husband Lord Otto Gottlieb. He received a glass decorated by Mistress Agatha.

Syr Cedric of Thanet announced that the armored tourney had resulted in a tie between Master Tiberius Iulius Rufus and Baron Ané du Vey, with Tiberius deferring to the Baron and the Baron turning it back to Tiberius. Thus, Tiberius was the winner, and received a stick of rattan and a shield with the Endewearde arms on it. He was requested to stay, as he was named Champeen 0’ Love and given the pink baldric.

Outgoing officers were called forth to be recognized and thanked for their service, and then incoming officers were summoned to be recognized and thanked for their willingness to keep the business side of the barony running smoothly.

Lady Bryn Millar was summoned to receive an East Kingdom calendar in thanks for her work keeping us all on track “knowing where to go, when to go there, and what to do when we get there”. She was then awarded her backlog Silver Rapier scroll.

Baroness Margaret of Rochester and Master Godric of Hamtun were awarded Keystones of Endewearde for their long and continuing service to the barony.

The Baron thanked everyone for coming and thanked everyone who had helped in any way, especially Haldis and her crew. He announced that he had received communications from both Malagentia and Stonemarche requesting Endewearde’s alliance for the upcoming Great Northeastern War and asked the populace to give him counsel on which side to choose.

Hrefna of Wyndriche won the Arts and Sciences competition and is now the A&S Champion of Endewearde (receiving the regalia, a journal to record her future work, and a scroll made by Lord Gwillim Kynith and Mistress Agatha Wanderer).

The other competitors in the Arts and Sciences competition were recognized (receiving journals for their future work).

The Baron welcomed everyone to the event.

The Baroness of Ruantallen thanked all those who worked to make the event possible.
The Baron of Ruantallen called forth all those who had supported him or Tir Mara at Middleground or Great Northeastern War and thanked them with a gift of beer. He also stated that, since Malagentia had won Great Northeastern War, any Malagentian visiting Ruantallen would be gifted with a bottle of beer.

The event steward, Margaret of Rochester, was called in and thanked her staff and called those who ran the various competitions to announce the winners, stating that although there was no competition for the classes, everyone who learned something at one of the classes was a winner.

Embroidery, with theme The Wild Hunt: 1st: Oguri Tatsuko, 2nd: Bobbie, 3rd:: Autumn, 4th: Maie. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place got a basket of sewing supplies.

Bacon: Although many versions of bacon were contributed by Nuttus, Hrafn Is-Augu won with his spicy dark chocolate covered bourbon candied bacon. He received a pig pendant made by Calvius Nero.

Potables: Ludwig von Eisenburg won the ales and beer, cordials, and wine categories. Fernando won the mead category. Chrisitiana Crane won the Populace Choice.

Syr Cedric of Thanet, Master of the Laurel, was called into court and given a token from the Baron to thank him for giving 17 pewter order medallions to the barony. The token was a small frog inscribed with the word Smile! (Cedric is famous for his scowl).

Isabella Altoviti, runner up in the archery tourney, was called into court and received a token of a tower coin from the Baroness for being an inspiration on the archery range.

Seamus na Coille Aosda announced the names of those who had earned badges in thrown weapons.

Griffydd Abernethy presented the $231 raised at the sausage fundraiser to Seamus for the Foresters Guild.

Alan of Wittlesie announced the names of those who had earned archery badges. Alan then called forth Admiranda Howard and turned over the captain of the North Tower Archery Company to her, gifting her with an archery captain’s box of useful items such as a stop watch, duck tape, ibuprofen and Southern Comfort.

Alan’s Keystone and Eoin’s Portcullis were presented.

Brita Mairi Svensdottir took Conal an Doire as a protégé.

Ragnarr’s AoA was presented.

The Baroness thanked everyone for coming, and remarked on the good work of Nuttus and Albrecht for setting up the White Shield encampment where new people could be welcomed and find their niche in the SCA. She also remarked on how cool it was to see both the thrown weapons championship and the archery championship come down to a battle between father and child – this shows that the next generation of Scadians is thriving.

William of Wyndhaven was invited in to Court where his scroll for Order of the Silver Tyger was read. He had been awarded the honor at Great Northeastern War XXX in July 2016 but no scroll was ever presented.

William of Wyndhaven invited Hrafn Is-Augu to stand with him and present a Baronial
Dagger to Jaden Tenax for fighting with the North Tower Infantry Company during this past Pennsic. In addition, William announced Jayden, along with Gruffyd Aberenthy, had attained the rank of Shieldman within the Infantry.

All new comers were asked to come forth and receive a token from Their Excellencies to welcome them to the Barony and thank them for their participation.

Njall Randevesson was invited in to Court and received a Tower pendant carved from antler and painted by Hrafn Is-Augu for his constant display of chivalry throughout the
tournament.

All fighters were invited in to Court to receive tokens in honor of their camaraderie and
prowess on the field of battle for the day.

Gruffyd Abernethy was called before Their Excellencies and was announced as the First Baronial Heavy Champion and as such, gifted a tower shield bearing the Arms of
Endewearde.

The Baron welcomed people to the event and spoke of the man for whom the event was named, Jehan Fitzalan and how he and others who had gone from us were missed, and he asked for a moment of silence.

The Baron then asked the family of Jehan Fitzalan to come into court and presented them with the small sword Jehan had made as a prize many years ago.

Conner MacScamus O’Neal was invited into court and presented the Baron with the sword which he had made which had been commissioned as a prize for the baronial rapier champion.

Gryffydd Abernathy was called into court and made chief steward for the Baron and Baroness.

Calvius Nero, event steward, was called upon to announce the winners of the various tourneys, and he thanked all the marshals and Bryn Millar, our web minister for their work. He then called forth Thomas de Marre, who announced that the Youth Combat prize of a pool noodle went to Seth of Wyndhaven. Hrafn Is-augu announced that Thomas de Winterwade was the winner of the armored combat tourney. Thomas received a length of rattan. Hrafn also called forth William of Wyndhaven to present a rattan sword to the newest authorized fighter, Murtagh O’Kelly.

Radbod of Endewearde announced that Sir Ivan Ulrickson had won the right to carry the prize cloak for a year and a day for besting all others in the rapier tourney. Izzo won the right to carry the buckler made by Syr Cedric of Thanet for winning the cut and thrust tournament.

Jordan Harvey, Endewearde’s rapier champion, called forth Radbod to accept the sword Scamus had made to carry as regalia for winning the baronial rapier championship. He also gave Radbod  a knife made by Master Gregory Finche.

The Baron made William of Wyndhaven and Seamus na Coille Aosda ambassadors to Middleground and instructed them to offer the forces of Endewearde to whomever they thought best. He then announced that, although it was a tough decision, Endewearde would fight with Malagentia at Great Northeastern War.

The Baron once again thanked everyone for coming, and reminded them of Queen Avelina’s words at her coronation – we are all community, and we should all look for ways to help. He encouraged everyone to find one thing to do to help break down. Court then closed.

The Baroness welcomed everyone to the event and then gave tokens made by Lord Izzo to retiring officers Gwillim Kynith (A&S) and Finan mac Bressail (Youth Combat marshal) and acknowledged the work of Jordan Harvey (Youth Fencing marshal), who was not present. They asked that the new officers stand and be recognized: Yzabel de Perche (A&S), Thomas de Marr (Youth Combat marshal), and Bryn Millar (Youth Fencing marshal).

Lord Otto Gottlieb took Anya as a yeoman and thanked the staff of Tourney of Love.

Tourney and A&S results were announced and prizes given:

Adult Rapier: Oleksander Brazhnyk    beer and a handmade pottery plate made by Master Tiberius

Youth A&S: Tryggve, for his filk about Viking raids    pound of fudge

Adult A&S:  Syr Cedric of Thanet   ceramic bowl made by Master Tiberius

Fighting: Syr Cedric of Thanet was undefeated, and won a heart shaped shield with the Endewearde device on it and a pottery plate made by Master Tiberius

Ban of Wintermoor was awarded the Ladies Choice award for his chivalry and honor: a short sword wrapped in pink duct tape and decorated with hearts

Syr Cedric of Thanet was acclaimed as Champeen O Love for his scores in rapier (2nd), armored combat (undefeated winner) and A&S (winner). He received the famous pink baldric.

Master Tiberius was cheered for his contributions to the prizes

Seamus an Coille Aosda read a letter from the Kingdom Forester allowing Endwearde to set up a Foresters Guild. He announced the Foresters: Poplyr Childs, Cedric of Thanet, himself, Gwillim Kynith, Hrafn Iss Augu, Haldis Ulfsdottir, Oleksander Brazhnyk, Rhys ap Dinefwr, William of Wyndhaven. Gwillim sang the first verse of his Foresters song.

The Baron mentioned that every summer there seems to be a problem down south and that this year, though we try to live peaceably with our neighbors, it will be hard to choose between our friends in Malagentia and those in Tir Mara, and he asked anyone with counsel on who to support to talk with him and the Baroness. He then thanked everyone for coming to the event and urged those not staying for feast to travel safely.

Lady Admiranda Howard recognized Sandra Hom for winning the pickle competition. She received a jar of pickle spices.

Lord Eoin an Doire recognized Nuttus Assington for bringing the most popular bacon to the bacon tasting. He received a bacon token made by Brighid’s Blaze.

Lady Agatha Wanderer recognized Oguri Tsatsuko for winning the embroidery challenge.

She received an embroidery kit.

Lord Otto Gottlieb recognized the following archers for their performance at the Endewearde Hunt:  Lord Eoin an Doire (first archer, scroll by Lady Bryn Millar), Lord Poplyr Childs (overall winner, words by Christiana Crane, Calligraphy/Illumination by Techan MacGothraidh  ), Cody of Endewearde (youth winner, words by Christiana Crane, Calligraphy/Illumination by Techan MacGothraidh).

The Baron and Baroness of Ruantallan presented the Barony with a gift: a handmade blade made by artisans of their Barony, as a thanks for a sword presented to them earlier from Baron Ane du Vey (hilt by Lord Conn Rosendubh, sheath by Yeoman Llwyd the Forester, blade by Lord Nicholas of Losthaven).  They also presented Lord Otto with a lost arrow left at Middleground in May.  Baron Vey also presented them with a gift of four drinking glasses.

Mistress Mercedes de Califia and Master Frasier MacLeod presented the Baron with a gift from their travels of two bottles of Yeungling.

Lord William of Wyndhaven presented daggers to the following fighters of Endewearde: Nuttus Assington, Rayfen Isalgel, and Haldis Olfdotter.  He announced Lord Thomas de Marr was elevated in rank to Sergeant of the Lance.

Lord Seamus na Coille Aosda and Lord Poplyr Childs presented medallions of rank to throwers:  Novice throwers Anders Carlson, Hrafn Iss Augu, Tsuikagi Okamino no Kishu, Haldis Ulfsdottir and Daniel of Endewearde. Throwers: Seamus na Coille Aosda, Poplyr Childs, Dave of Endewearde. All these had received Royal Round rankings.

Master Godric of Hamtun presented medallions of rank to archers:  GET NAMES

Baroness Margaret of Rochester presented Edwin the Dragon of Joy and Fun to Lord Gruffydd Abernethy for spreading happiness to others throughout the event.
