Sing Thing: Thursday, February 2, 2017

Duke and ladies in a garden (Miniature)

Another rousing session of Sing Thing will be held on Thursday, February 2nd, 7:30-9:30 PM, at the home of Lord Gwillim & Lady Constancia in Orrington, Maine.

For those of you who haven’t been in the past, Sing Thing is just an opportunity for people who like music, particularly singing, to sit around a table and learn some stuff together. We do a mix of filk, SCA-original, and period pieces. There’s no “talent” required; nobody’s judgy; the only expectation is that you come ready to sing and have fun. And you might want to bring a binder to hold all the great music!

Beginning on September 28, 2016 (Wednesday) there will be weekly SCA Project Night meetings from 7:00-9:00 pm held at the University of Maine Machias campus gymnasium (view a pdf of the UM Machias campus map). Some projects nights are run as class sessions where everyone learns a craft and works on it for the evening. Other nights people bring a project they are currently working on and keep company with others who are working on their own projects. This is a great place to come by and learn more about the diverse interests of others interested in medieval craftsmanship.

Availability to this meeting space at the University of Maine Machias may fluctuate during the academic year. Please check the Endewearde Master Calendar and the facebook group Washington Co., SCA. Sios Thoir, for updates to this weekly meeting.
