Dear Endewearde,
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we write this missive. As many of you may know, my mother has been diagnosed with terminal stage 4 pancreatic cancer. My parents live in Oregon, and we do not have other close relatives (besides Otto’s mother and sisters) who live in that area. We have always planned to move out to Oregon, but we thought we could wait another ten years. However, because my mom is so ill, and because my father needs help caring for her, Otto and I have decided to move there this year. We plan on being here through most of the summer, but we will most likely be moved by September.
Endewearde has been our SCA home for the past 14 years, and we have made friends with so many amazing people who share our nerdy obsessions! We consider Endewearde our family, and are heartbroken to leave you. This will mean that we must step down as Baron and Baroness of Endewearde, and will do all we can to make the transition for the new Excellencies (Nexcellencies!) of this amazing Barony a smooth one.
We love you, and will miss you all greatly.
